Chris,
At last night's meeting you mentioned that due to some problems with
the way it was implemented in Catalyst, they are moving away from
Class::C3. What are they moving to? Is it to Class::Trait? Are they
building something from scratch? Something else?

A long, informative article:
Matt Trout mentioned several alternatives. Bread::Board, has-a, Moose roles, etc. Even more, he's pushing for functionality in the models instead of the controllers.
